Dr. Chaur-Ming Chou, Ph.D, MBA (M.I.T.), Director, Asia & Pacific Operations
Dr. Chaur-Ming Chou is also the Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Shanghai Jutone Electronics, a hi-tech company specializes on wireless, multimedia and embedded software development. Previously as Senior VP and COO at BAA International, a HK based consulting company, he was the driving force behind its corporate strategy, global alliances, and high-tech incubation projects. He was the Managing Director in charge of China research operations for United Technologies (UTX), established the technical presence in China and oversaw its technology investment strategies. He was also formerly with General Electric and a college professor in U.S.
Dr. Chou holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from University of Massachusetts, a M.S. in Management of Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Physics from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. He is the author of over 20 technical articles and made presentations at many international conferences. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, members of ASME and Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce, VP of Shanghai MIT Alumni Club, and Advisory Professor of Management at Shanghai Tongji University. Dr. Chou is also a board member of UGC (www.ugcltd.com), a global management and technology consulting company specializes on automotive supply chain management, CTO for bScope Venture Partners (www.bscope-ventures.com), an Austrian investment firm with close tie to Porsche Holding's individual shareholders, and a business advisor of U.S. based 9G Technology Inc.
